Overview
ColorPickerX is a color picker app for iOS. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights.
The short version: ColorPickerX does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
Data We Do Not Collect
ColorPickerX does not collect, track, or transmit:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
- Location data
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports or diagnostics to external servers
- Advertising identifiers
Camera Access
ColorPickerX requests access to your device camera solely for real-time color detection. Camera data is processed entirely on-device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. No images or video are captured or saved unless you explicitly use the photo import feature, which accesses only photos you select.
Photo Library Access
When you use the palette-from-photo feature, you select photos through Apple's system photo picker. ColorPickerX only accesses the specific photos you choose. Photos are processed on-device to extract colors and are not stored, uploaded, or transmitted.
Local Data Storage
The following data is stored locally on your device using UserDefaults:
- Saved colors (color values and dates)
- Color collections (names, notes, and associated colors)
- App preferences (theme, default format, haptics setting)
This data never leaves your device. There is no cloud sync, no server backup, and no remote storage of any kind.
Clipboard
When you copy a color code, it is placed on your device clipboard using standard iOS APIs. This is only done when you explicitly tap a copy action.
Export and Backup
You can export your color library in various formats (ASE, CSS, JSON, Plain Text, Swift). Exported files are generated locally and shared through the iOS share sheet. Backup files are created and restored entirely on your device.
In-App Purchases
ColorPickerX offers a one-time PRO upgrade through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information.
Third-Party Services
ColorPickerX uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or external APIs. The app is built exclusively with Apple's native frameworks and operates fully offline.
Network Connectivity
ColorPickerX makes zero network requests. The app functions entirely offline. The only network activity related to the app is Apple's own StoreKit transaction processing for PRO purchases, which is handled by the operating system.
Children's Privacy
ColorPickerX does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Since the app collects no data, changes are expected to be rare.
